WHAT A COOL NIGHT!!!

Last night the Detroit Tigers clinched the ALCS and will be going to the World Series.

And I was there!

Mr. Noland scored some tickets and drove 10 hours to Detroit to go to the game...and he took us with him.

Here's some pics and video!

Here I am with my husband while it was sunny and still kinda warm in our upper deck seats (along the 3rd base line). Notice I am not wearing a jacket.

George Kell threw out the first pitch. Look out Al!

Clouds arrived just as the sun was setting. Around this time it was 3-0 with the Oakland A's in the lead.

It was still 3-0 and it was getting COLD!!! While the scoreboard said it was 50 degrees, we all knew it was -15 degrees. Brrr!

We were happy to see Magglio tie the game and then catch a fly ball hit by Milton Bradley.

We were soon in the bottom of the 9th with two outs...and then it happened...Magglio hit a homer with two men on to end the game! We're going to the world series!

Comerica Park went NUTS...

...and so did the boys!

The celebration continued while they were setting up the stage for the American League Championship Trophy Presentation.

And the MVP was...Placido Polanco!

It was a great night and one that I won't ever forget...and I know what I'll be doing at work tomorrow, around 10am...trying to score tickets to the World Series!
